Although the potential of Africa is still often largely ignored in the Western media with images of crises, calls for Aid and a focus on wars dominating, perceptions of Africa are changing due to better education, awareness and understanding.

Creating awareness is ’key’ to developing interest from members of the general public about development issues that face communities in the developing world. With education, one is better able to analyse and assess how to contribute towards making a real change, and help educate others to tackle issues that breed ignorance and stereotypes.
